An interview with Katie Larcombe

Q: What motivates you as a professional hair and makeup artist?
A: I remember vividly how nervous I was on my own wedding day. Now I’m able to boost my clients’ confidence towards themselves on their wedding day. That brings a very positive impact to carry on throughout the wedding. That’s a magic I play and an achievement I’m really proud of.

Q: What’s your expertise?
A: I create natural flawless modern bridal looks. I unveil every bride’s natural beauty and transform it to her own glamour truly to her personality. She looks fresh, fashionable and impeccable.

Q: What’s the starting rate for a bridal hair and makeup styling package in your studio?
A: €260

Q: What kind of relationship do you build with your clients?
A: Many times the business relationship ends up as friendship. Partially it’s because I was playing an intimate part of their wedding day. There is lots of trust, understanding and appreciation involved. I feel honored and satisfied knowing how much my clients value my work.

Q: Please offer ONE tip to expat brides who’s planning a wedding in the Netherlands?
A: Ask as many questions as you need answered. Even if you think it is unimportant- if it makes you feel better, we want to hear it.

Q: What do you like the most about Amsterdam?
A: The freedom to be yourself. Everyone fits in here. It has beautiful energy against the most elegant backdrop.
